As a correctional officer, I have received thousands of calls in my line of duty. These calls are from friends and families of people who are incarcerated in Jail.

Being outside and not knowing how your loved one is doing can be haunting. Sometimes you send them a letter and you just dont know if they’ve received it.

Other times, you sit by your phone and hope that they could call you so you can hear their voice. You feel trapped, lonely, and alone. You feel like your soul is also incarcerated. You are our inspiration.

This blog is dedicated to millions of people around the world who have a ton of questions about how jails operate. Our posts will be dedicated to prison life, and will answer all the questions you have.

We encourage you to ask questions, and we’ll commit our time to giving you truthful answers, even if they hurt.

We’re here for you. To ease your burden.
